Any tips for keeping slugs away from my meadow sage? They're devouring the bottom leaves.

Bit late to the party with this, but have recently tried saving up all my coffee grounds and spreading across the soil. Seems to be having the desired effect (along with some beer traps that are probably mainly rain by now)
