From watching the video a few times the description of the "violence" seems a bit exaggerated. There also seems to be a double standard, as it's hard to imagine this level of outrage had the same force been used against a man.
All that said, it isn't an MP's place to start ejecting protestors and his excuse is a load of bollocks.
