Was a little tempted by this when I saw it in cashies... but now seeing yours, it’s a piece of shit.

Got some excess filler material cleaned up, seat tube finished reaming out and honing, framesaver in (not sure I managed to get very much into the 2nd top tube) and partially built today.
Slipped the bushnell in just to check I hadn't distorted the shell too much and man, that is a sexy bb...

That's bonkers. I love it.

The chainline isn't quite right, I probably shouldn't have cut so much off the front of the yoke as there's not much room for the chainring but its a big tyre, I wanted it #tukt and the chainline on the coaster hub is really narrow so something had to give.
It runs fine actually but I have to keep the ebb towards the front half of it's adjustment to avoid chainring/yoke clashing.
I have a 30t ring and a more deeply dished sprocket for the coaster on the way which will probably help things.
Took it for a smash around the local trails today and it's a hoot!

That's friggin awesome!

Looks mad fun, great job!

So bloody awesome!

Very cool!
Is the coaster brake the only means of braking? I think I'd just assumed you'd have a front disc brake.
-
• #836
Me too, but I guess this is a coaster-skidder-funbike
-
• #837
Yeah it’s the only brake. I kept the disc mounts in place on the fork incase I ever want to run a front brake but I doubt I will.
-
• #838
Jealous! Add mounts for fenders and ice spikers and I think you would have a very fun Winter commuter (and maybe a front brake, for when there's a bit to much ice).

You can't put mudguards on that!
Its great.

Mrs M_V caught me looking at the Ceeway site the other day and asked if I was thinking about doing another frame, thought I was in for it but she said it was good that I was wanting to practice so much and she didn't even seem to mind when I told her that I wanted to spend a bit more on materials this time so I've ordered up everything (hopefully) that I'll need for frame no3 and also bought a lovely Columbus Minimal fork from @marxist_vulcan.
My plan for this one is a nice, classy lugged road fixed.
I've gone for 31.8mm top and down tubes, a 28.6mm seat tube so I'm going to need to sleeve that up to fit the seat lug.
Nothing too fancy on the lugs, I'll use the sleeving on the seat tube to add some ornamentation and might do something similar on the top/down tubes so want to keep it minimalist to start with.
It'll be almost all Zona, chainstays will be short taper Life as there aren't Zona stays that fit the oval ports on the bb lug.
I had thought about doing some discreet mudguard mounts on the frame but as there's no guard mounts on the fork I'll just keep the frame nice and clean.
Oh and I'll be doing a wishbone seat stay.

Got round to fishing up on the wee stem I was making myself to replace the Gas Pipe stem I bought from Stayer.
It's taken me a while because the Stayer one is so nice I've not really had much motivation to replace it but people keep seeing it on my bike and thinking I made it!

And lastly, I made use of the handlebar portion of the Nitto x Fairweather bullmoose today.
I combined it with the straight, grip sections from 1 1/2 pairs of bmx bars and made a handlebar for my motorbike...

Both of the above are so very sick.

Is the BB 30/16? Because ZON114OV425 will fit a standard oval chain stay
-
• #847
Hmm dunno how I missed them.
Maybe it was that the bb is actually marked as 30/17 and the Life chainstays were the only ones that were all 30/17 instead of 30/16 but I’ve looked again st the drawings they sent me so I could choose long or short taper and they show 30/16.
Oh well, I’ve ordered the Life ones now!

Thanks!

Bollocks!
Ordered 16mm seat stays and a wishbone for 14mm stays.

Work’s pretty quiet this time of year. This weekend in particular because the Master’s is on at Newport. That means I have a fair bit of downtime...

Thanks guys.
Think I have most of the bits to build it, just need a day off to bosh it out.
