  • A true love affair

  • Ok then, Im in

  • Phwoarr, a phare.

  • Am I supposed to see anything more or other than “penislighthouse” here?

You may have over estimated my computer use

It’s literally just this typing in this box

Doesn’t stop me loving you though

  • I only heard 'love a phare'.

Well, here's the phare at Shoreham itself:

    And here's another specimen:

  • Ah ok

So if you come along on the ride and we get a photo of your next to that, then we really would have a right old ‘phare’ of phallus’s

  • Nice one matey

  • A few photos of the route I took:
Riverside path beside the River Wandle near to Mitcham

  • Just beyond Epsom race course, a fairly rough trail, but still perfectly rideable.

  • This is closer to Dorking, probably on the NCN22

  • A nice tree tunnel in one of the lanes linking sections of the Downs Link. Most of the roads were like this.

  • Sexy

Apart from the Tri bars - @inappropriate_bike you have a bar-friend

  • I'm trying to work out if I can realistically do this (coming from Derby). What time do you anticipate arriving in Shoreham?

  • Downs link trail through a wooded section. A bit muddy in places, but no worse than Wimbledon Common for example. It all drains well.

  • Honestly, I dont really know.

Late afternoon, but really its what ever time we get there

  • This is the bike, from a ride exploring the South London velo verte route (which is fun, in a totally wildly inappropriate way for this type of bike).

  • Fair enough. I'll think on it.

  • Aah yes, I know where you are. That’s the track that goes right after the last gatehouse past the school In Warlingham?

The bike has all bases covered, a proper job

  • Sorry, I suppose if we meet @mashton around 1100 that we would be in Shoreham at 17-00 at the latest?

  • Thanks, that's about what I figured.

  • If the weather is good I might be able to escape for this. Good knows I need a day off.

  • Will there be any frame builders on this ride?

  • There could be, but they are quite busy atm though, lying to people about specs and couriers, being shouted at by customers wives and not responding to emails from incognisant and sometimes vaguely anonymous, oddballs.

Hopefully we can prise one or two out of the woodwork for a well earned break

  • We the way they behave, it sounds like they don't deserve a break.

  • True, true

Maybe we should start a thread about it?

Have a proper moan, make sure everyone knows about how our righteous indignation has been cruelly ignored buy these underskilled and over paid ‘artisans’

It would still be nice if they could come though, if only to pay for everything out of their trust funds.
