Just had a building survey back with more than the usual concerns, can anyone recommend a builder (Leyton way)?

Go round, say you love the fence, but would like to know when they'll be back to clear the waste. Or offer to arrange it and give them the quotes/invoice.

@Chalfie @jv @stevo_com thanks for all your advice.
I wanted to ask here before I go round there. stuff you can see for the most part was growing into out garden, through the fence that can be seen.
I guess I wanted to know the score with regards to who is responsible if the greenery is growing through from their boundary into ours.

Common decency would say that whoever was doing the work, clears up after themselves. Laws may be more specific. At the very least, the old fence should be cleared, and if they're doing that, they may as well lift the other crap too.
I had 6 big leylandii removed and offered to all my immediate neighbours (corner plot) to come round and clear any detritus from the felling.

A more forgiving person might say that once the new fence was up, they were worried about access to your garden. But then, if that's the case, you'd make sure all the shit ends up where you can get at it.

But yeah, totally reasonable to go round and have a good natured chat about it. If talks break down, hoof it over the shiny new fence.

Those panels just slide in. They could prop them up or get everything out before putting the last panel in

Good point. I was going by the mantra I learned from somebody on here. If you think you are being wronged, chances are it's 99% cockup, 1% conspiracy. Has stopped me losing my shit on many an occasion.

1% conspiracy
Sausages in the freezer just in case.

I literally spent about two hours today dealing with someone who is convinced that he's been wronged and he's in the 1%. So frustrating.
I think this saying is quite old as my Dad told me it years ago!

It's particularly difficult for people who are for whatever reason upset with their lot in life to get out of the mindset that everyone is against them and that every slight is deliberately engineered to fuck them over (institutional and systematic fucking of sociopolitical classes / races aside).
My MIL falls very much into this camp. Everything slightly inconvenient is a ploy by someone else to deliberately fuck her over. I got a parking ticket recently, totally correctly. Apparently Lambeth council deliberately changes parking bay boundaries to catch people out and make money.

If you're going to be against me like everyone else, at least do it right! You can't even get it right, that's how against me you are!

Any external insulation options that won't add on huge dimension? I have a nasty feeling my ends elevation render will need replacing soon. I was thinking of insulating internally as it's a party wall on to another property's garden but external might be preferable if I could convince the neighbors to give up a couple of inches.

Builder recommendations around N8 Crouch End, Finsbury Park area appreciated.
It's only small work. chasing cables, light electrical, plastering, decorating.

Ohhhh kayyyyyy...
So, after some advice. Getting a small extension done, side return only so not going beyond the current back of the house. Just spoke to my neighbour, who I have kept well in the loop and already shared plans with, and she started banging on about the architects drawings being wrong, builders not knowing about party walls and how she would need her own surveyor. She is on the side where the wall isn't being touched, I think my party wall surveyors said they had no reason to contact her due to this (will double check).
I'm not keen on paying for her surveyor (I believe I may legally obliged to - but surely if the party wall is not effected that can't be right?), especially as the other side neighbour is on the verge of possibly being a pain too (after I signed off his loft extension without a care in the world).
We have had a decent relationship so far, I think she might have genuine mental health issues so want to tread a bit lightly otherwise I would be over her fence with a bag of frozen sausages and a hammer in no time...
Anyone had anything similar or know where I stand? Don't fancy being 1500 quid out of pocket because my neighbours are being awkward.

Quite likely to be booked up this time of year, but still worth getting in touch as they do very high quality work.
Advice?
My neighbour has just replaced the fence between their property and mine - and a lovely fence it is too.
During the process, the people they employed have dug outa load of conifers and other bits to put in the new fence.
The photos show what has been left in my garden. The bottom photo shows the old fence (wire with vertical slats) that has also been left behind.
There's conservatively a ton of green waste here (it's about 40feet long and 18" deep and very dense). Is it wrong to expect that they would/should have taken this green waste away with them when they completed the job?
Thanks in advance! Joe
