Awesome sauce. Now I can see if the Bob Yak will fit. Expect further questions about how to lengthen the axle. :)

"The folding bicycle maker Brompton is predicting electric bikes could make up at least half its business within the next 10 years, as it broadens the appeal of cycling beyond the traditional market of lycra-clad males."

State of this article
It has sold more than 2,500 of its new ebikes, which use a battery to help make peddling easier, since their launch in August last year and believes they will become increasingly popular, particularly among women.

What tyres are they, and more importantly, are they tubeless capable?
-
• #6836
Had to fix a puncture on my front (kojak) I'd forgotten how hateful getting the tyre off and on is

The rear triangle looks a bit home-made, that’s not one of Ben @ Kinetics, is it?
-
• #6838
nope, fork and triangle are of Vincent at Eerder Metaal (Netherlands) -he makes all sorts of rad things with disc, rohloff/alfine/derailleur / bigger wheels etc.
Fav build was his rustbucket last year for Eroica!

• #6839
Ta. I thought that looked a bit rough for one of Ben’s!

Sounds like Steve Lindley has decided to ride TCR7 on a Brompton. Without much fanfare, his aim seems to be to finish and feels like he can fix it more easily should something go wrong.

Desperate to totally mod it with madness and a rohloff.

Are the blue clamp levers your first mod?

Very cool. I especially like your choice of cranks and tensioner.
Could you post a drive-side unfolded shot? I’m thinking of replacing the hoses on mine as they haven’t been routed through the frame guides and have started to get damaged. Would be helpful to see your setup. What’s the purpose of the toe-strap? -
• #6848
It’s not Amey’s bike, that things quite different!
Have you got discs or a normal Brompton build?
The toe strap is used because this doesn’t have the retro clip so the back wheel self folds! That holds the back end up.

Aha. Now I’m confused. Is it yours?
Yup, Hope X2 with Pro 2 Evo hubs. Most of the other hardware (tensioner, clamps..) is from brompfication.

It’s my friend Vincent’s, he runs Eerder Metaal and builds all sorts of cool stuff!
M10, forgot to check the pitch though
