I’m pretty tempted on putting honjo’s hummered fenders on new bike, but i guess gilles berthoud is more resonable alternative - just a pain to instal.

Have you considered the velo orange stuff?
I have a pair of hammered VO-mudgards on my commuter and they were no harder to install than sks bluemels.
