Oh man, all I eat is lentils and hummus, with my cohorts around a fire pit. Am I doing something wrong? Ha!
In all seriousness though, no KFC for us. I don't know why, but I can't shake the feeling that they would deliberately serve up a real chicken burger, just to piss me off, but this concern comes second to me not wanting to line the pockets of a gross corporation!

Subway actually released a vegan patty and vegan aioli sauce in the UK in the last couple of weeks.
It's ruddy increadible. My motorway service stops are now solely based on procuring as many as possible.

Obviously, Wetherspoon’s is evil, but just about acceptable if you’re in an airport and need food and beer. Their vegan burger is pretty decent.

Has anyone tried co-op's incredible burgers? Best fake meat burger I've had.

what do you lot do for smart shoes?
I've gone through a few pairs of pleather new look plastic jobbies in a few months, feel uneasy that they are most likely sweatshop, and even if cheap, they are falling apart too quickly. I'm trying to avoid the fast fashion cycle too.
I can get away with docs, and they are one of the few shoes that don't fall apart on me, but the vegan ones look very shiney - do they break in well? A few amazon review about how they come apart at the sole too?
Any other suggestions?

So... anyone tried the new KFC vegan burger type thing yet? I think one of the only places you can get it at the moment is Gloucester Road near where I work... seen some taste tests on youtube... and Joey Carbstrong saying ALL vegans should go out and buy them to make fast food joints realise that if they're made, people will buy them. Thoughts?

This. Have the (dock?) boots, they’re amazing comfy and wearing well.

That’s the price for the selection or per person?

+1 for Wills, indistinguishable from leather shoes and very comfortable. Not cheap, but good value.

Another vegan closure that I've only just noticed--the Blacksmith & Toffeemaker closed in March. I meant to go to the Geekstraveganza there but never made it:
https://www.theblacksmithandthetoffeemaker.co.uk/
I can't find if it's re-opened under a different name. Must ride past sometime.
