๐จ ARIAL KLAXON ๐จ
It actually mixes Arial and Helvetica, which is extra doubly impressive.
Also the whole thing is an amazingly shit render, but Iโm sure itโs lovely in real life.

I could just say this about any watch and youโd have no idea, right?

Got a very weighty, hard stiffy for a longines legend diver on a mesh strap

Do it. They're lovely. Failing that, buy a Helson super comp knock-off instead.

No.

What's the helson SC called? It's to early to think.

Same. Always loved that watch.
And super compressor divers. which is a great read on them.

used brass black aging solution
You really have to give it a go to get it like that!

Love this. The Oris brand is really on a great trajectory these days.
Pretty sure my next watch is going to be a big crown pointer date but 36mm bronze with the green dial. I need something water resistant for the British summertime ๐คช

Na. Legend beats Helson. The internal bezel is joyous.
-
• #36092
Nice, I donโt normally like big crowns or pointer dates but that looks really good.
-
• #36093
Totally agree. Was only suggesting the Helson Hammerhead as a value option at half the price.
-
• #36094
I like the crescent shape of the original pointer date.
Also agree about Oris. Some of their Aquis and Divers range tempt me.

If you were to take it to sea and leave it wet a lot of the time I'm sure it would eventually, but not on its own. It's very early in its journey, and the brass has just dulled slightly. It's a shame, I'd quite like a bit of green patina on it - maybe not quite that much tho.

If you read that thread, the owner of that watch used three or four chemical treatments to get his brass looking like that. Not sure its possible naturally.

I saw a few pieces at the British Museum when they had their history of timepieces exhibition (the final exhibit was a DW5600, which I thoroughly enjoyed) which were in a similar state after being used as marine chronometers for years at a time. But yeah, unlikely to get that cycling to Dulwich. More's the pity.

Dropped across this whilst searching for a bargain Junghans date meister calender
Seems like a bargain, but I am not very knowledgeable when if comes to watches(or most things truth be told.)
I am kind of tempted(love the dial colour)
Thought it may be useful to someone on here .Meanwhile if anyone comes across a bargain Junghans date meister calender, please let me know!
