Mk5 golf drive well and decrnt inside, but they be rusty. Average mk4 will prob outlast a similarly maintained mk5

@BrickMan noticed some more rust today when cleaning it, for example here on the O/S front wheel arch. Will research what I can do to treat it whilst I have time.
Going to try and do the filters and an oil change asap, found a kit for £50 on eBay.
My nan helped (did it all) to stitch up a rip in the seat today

not sure if I should still go for it. I okayed the garage to do it for around £50-150 when they rang me yesterday, but the signed piece of paper says I'd have an MOT'd golf for £900, not £1030
