A major problem with this entire article (a lot of which i do agree with) is the line "treat customers like people"
what about all the customers that treat people who work in shops like dog shit?

Two things, whatabout-ism and ‘customer is always right’

True, would have been more well balanced if that was mentioned.

My favourite customer is the one who asks for advice, then Googles your recommendation and points out it’s half the price on amazon/wiggle. Can we price match? Sadly not.

Worse is that when Evans online are much lower than their in store price. Happened to me once when I needed a lock and yeah they wouldn't honor their OWN lower price!

Stuff online is usually not packaged, that's why it's cheaper, but the amount of times I've ordered stuff in for a customer, then it turned up packaged, pretty pristine packaging aswell, I just started price matching with our own site.
Glad I've handed my notice in though, anyone got a job to give me? -

If only customers stopped treating shops/staff like shit on their shoes... it’s cheaper on amazon/wiggle is not an acceptable statement after seeking advice. To be fair, the whole of the UK is fucked - shit retail staff and shit customers.

They've built houses on London Bridge again? History always repeats, etc. :)
