• *SOLD* I'm selling my trusty steed that has served me well for almost a year now.

    Its the 2013 Shadow. I wont labour the details (see here, https://www.edinburghbicycle.com/revolution-shadow-13.html) which spec wise its an absolute monster; Gates Belt Drive, Alfine 8-speed, Shimano hydraulic discs, Carbon fork, Stelle Royale saddle... you name it. If you don't know Edinburgh Cycle Revolution give them a google, they are a very highly regarded collective.

    Now for the history of this particular bike. I bought it last year from its original owner. He had used it as a daily, clocking minimal miles, kept it original, and serviced it regularly. When I got it it had some brand new discs and a new pair of Continental Grand Prix 4s (extortionately expensive tyres). This bike has been a flawless commuter for me and never lets me down. I am a lover of the lack of maintenance the belt drive and Alfine combo offers. Its a bit of a looker too!

    However, this bike is not perfect. Some points below;

    1. I suspect it has spent a good proportion of its life outside. There is cosmetic rust in a few places, including the front spokes and some of the bolts.
    2. One of the Continental Grand Prix delaminated on my route to work, the bike shop only had Gaitorskins (which i much prefer) so it has non matching tyres. One Grand Prix (~2 years old) and 1 Gaitor skin (~6 months old)
    3. It has some very nice "Time Atac XC2" pedals on it. I wanted to remove these before the sale but I cant get one of them to shift with my limited tools at home. I'm sure a bike shop will get it, but I want to be honest.
    4. Frame Paint has a lot of scratches. This is my bad. I park against a metal railing at work and I'm often running late and in a hurry.

    So yeh, she's not perfect but boy is she sturdy. I have no doubt this bike has many more miles and smiles to give. I regularly get a bit of chat at the traffic lights asking me where its from. The second-hand value of the Alfine and the Belt Drive alone would make close to what I'm asking, so treat the bike as near-free :)
