When I've done it before, I think I've used stuff from The Works. The washable, non-toxic stuff. More glue is better, for peelability. As long as you leave it to dry for long enough.
A mate did it with wood glue once! Luckily it wasn't one if his raers, of which he has some very £££.
Ha, reminds me of the mate who sprayed the insides of his lovely new vintage hi-fi amplifier with WD40 and was then surprised when it went up in flames... I laughed about that one for weeks...
Yikes! Stupidest I've been with hi-fi equipment was taking an old amp apart with it still turned on (I forgot it was plugged in). It had a piggy-back power supply, which I took a tasty jolt from.
