Colleague of mine just had his bike stolen:
It is the black one on the right and is branded Ahooga. There are not many of these in the UK - in fact I wouldn't be surprised if the two in the photo were the only two in the country - so if you see a black one for sale anywhere it could well be his. Please PM me if you see it anywhere.

What happened?

Their regularly is, not much to stop it accelerating. Get yours back yeah?
Wonder if police turn the same blind eye/haven't got time to deal with it* to when a victim has to get physical to get their property back.
*I know they actually don't have time to deal with it. Have two mates who have left the force recently after feeling more and more pressure from above and the public aswell as dealing with having to go against their own moral etiquette in order to get through each day.

Great news, lovely bike too.

I pretended I am really interested in. I checked the bike like who want to buy it.
I asked him I would like to try the bike before I pay.
(looking for £200 for my bike)
When I had tried it I turned slow to the next road to Cygnet street and start a sprint on Bacon street.Honestly I nicked back my bike but I tried to avoid the conflict/fight etc. I think it was the easiest and fastest way to get back my love. Of course I am live in a totally different area so I think I never see them again.

Hi , I went up there today ... keeping an eye out for my Enigma ... but .... its so depressing seeing how many scroats turn up and drop off obviously nicked bikes ... saw nice white P5 Cervelo and small Condor cross converted single speed left for sale ..... horrible , horrible little cunts ....
...glad you got yours back though ... cheered me up a bit at least .... -

Thanks for the report. It's good that you got your bike back--and that it was clearly identifiable so you couldn't have made a mistake. Quite a few people have got their bikes back in this way, and I've never heard of an adverse report, but I've always been worried that it might end in someone accidentally 'taking back' a bike that wasn't theirs, or that they might get caught by the 'sellers' in trying to do so. Needless to say, as it's illegal, it's not something that is to be recommended irrespective of the outcome, although of course I understand why people resort to desperate measures. Brick Lane is a particular problem in this respect if the two remaining strategies are to either go down there with some hefty mates (which some people have done) or do what you did.

Just had 2 bikes stolen from my garden whilst I was in the flat.
Cleaning the bathroom at the other end of the flat. Cunts.

• #14421
Not good, what are they?

• #14422
Where are you based? Brick lane worth a punt at this time I reckon.

Shit. Hope there's something you can do. It's technically a burglary and not 'just' a bike theft, so perhaps the police can pay attention to it for that reason. Also on account of the brazen modus operandi.

Police have been round. Said sorry a lot and shrugged their shoulders. Dusted for prints but didn't find anything.
