Anyone know where I can get an A544 battery before wednesday? For a Canon A1. Can you buy these in shops?

This should be the same one - Boots is just an example, you can search which store has them:

Just looking for a few tips with shooting Contax G1 with flash, this was set to auto and full flash on iso 200, just looking to see what I can do to make it less grainy and more sharp. Do you reckon having the aperture set totally open would help? or like 5/6?

What film are you using ? That'll have more of an impact than anything else. Looks as though you're using Fuji C200/Colorplus/Lomo CN etc ? Shooting Portra, Ektar or Fuji Pro will decrease grain and increase sharpness.
Shooting those will also increase latitude - the flash shot looks a tad under exposed, as does 1 or 2 of the photos without flash.

Thanks mate! Yes I think I was using Kodak Gold for that one, I have some Ektar so will put that in it and test result's. I need to put the aperture down i think when shooting flash so will test out putting down f/stop a couple

soooo... ive got a bunch of old Nikon AIs Lenses that I have for my Nikon Fe which I love dearly.. However I've fallen out of love with film photography really and I'm looking to purchase a digital camera one that I can use these lenses on, but one that still retains the film like dials.. something like the Nikon Df but one that shoots video.. anyone know of anything or can recommend anything thats good?

Fuji X series and I think that's about it ? It's aps-c though so you'll have to factor in the crop with your Nikon lenses (ie your 50mm Nikon will be 75mm on aps-c)

Always nice when you forget about a film in a camera and get back some photos that aren't too bad. Nikon p&s, Fuji Neopan 400CN

Centre or spot autofocus (and exposure) has missed the faces and got the wall perfect.
Not quite sure how those contax Gs work. Half-press and recompose using that middle-finger focus/exposure lock button on the front?

Also, you deserve a massive dunking for buying a £1k vintage camera before learning to shoot snapshots :)

Lies. Focusing is underrated.

Get a digital Nikon SLR.
If you said what your budget is one could give more specific recommendations. -

Ye I'm guessing in my drunk-ish state I focused smack bang between them and not on the faces.
You can half press focus lock and drag to focus wherever which does work well. I have just got second roll back and they seem better, I was worried maybe the Canon flash I was using was causing the issue.
But maybe I’ll just refrain from taking pic’s when down the pub before I learn its intricacies a bit more

Does that mean that you do not really have money, or that you don't care how much it costs?

Like I said a Nikon DSLR will get you close.
Of course there's still some learning to do (fundamental settings at least; colour, metering, files etc. but it's not rocket science).A camera with a "full frame" sensor (as big as the film negative, as opposed to a "cropped", smaller one) will allow you to use the lenses you have like you did on your film camera. Long story short: this is what you want. Nikon calls these cameras "FX" bodies.
The Df is one of those, albeit quite a niche (read: expensive) one, also it does not do video.
Keep in mind DSLR cameras are not really made for doing video anyway.Take a look at the D750 maybe.
