  • looking to purchase a digital camera one that I can use these lenses on, but one that still retains the film like dials.. something like the Nikon Df but one that shoots video.. anyone know of anything or can recommend anything thats good?

    Get a digital Nikon SLR.
If you said what your budget is one could give more specific recommendations.

  • no real budget!
just want something that works kinda like a Nikon film camera..

Thinking about Nikon Df, D700 or sony A7(but the mount adapters are expensive..)

  • no real budget

Does that mean that you do not really have money, or that you don't care how much it costs?

Like I said a Nikon DSLR will get you close.
Of course there's still some learning to do (fundamental settings at least; colour, metering, files etc. but it's not rocket science).

A camera with a "full frame" sensor (as big as the film negative, as opposed to a "cropped", smaller one) will allow you to use the lenses you have like you did on your film camera. Long story short: this is what you want. Nikon calls these cameras "FX" bodies.
The Df is one of those, albeit quite a niche (read: expensive) one, also it does not do video.
Keep in mind DSLR cameras are not really made for doing video anyway.

Take a look at the D750 maybe.
