  • Just looking for a few tips with shooting Contax G1 with flash, this was set to auto and full flash on iso 200, just looking to see what I can do to make it less grainy and more sharp. Do you reckon having the aperture set totally open would help? or like 5/6?

  • make it less grainy and more sharp

What film are you using ? That'll have more of an impact than anything else. Looks as though you're using Fuji C200/Colorplus/Lomo CN etc ? Shooting Portra, Ektar or Fuji Pro will decrease grain and increase sharpness.

Shooting those will also increase latitude - the flash shot looks a tad under exposed, as does 1 or 2 of the photos without flash.

  • Thanks mate! Yes I think I was using Kodak Gold for that one, I have some Ektar so will put that in it and test result's. I need to put the aperture down i think when shooting flash so will test out putting down f/stop a couple

    Lies. Focusing is underrated.
