  • Just looking for a few tips with shooting Contax G1 with flash, this was set to auto and full flash on iso 200, just looking to see what I can do to make it less grainy and more sharp. Do you reckon having the aperture set totally open would help? or like 5/6?

What film are you using ? That'll have more of an impact than anything else. Looks as though you're using Fuji C200/Colorplus/Lomo CN etc ? Shooting Portra, Ektar or Fuji Pro will decrease grain and increase sharpness.

Shooting those will also increase latitude - the flash shot looks a tad under exposed, as does 1 or 2 of the photos without flash.

  • Centre or spot autofocus (and exposure) has missed the faces and got the wall perfect.

Not quite sure how those contax Gs work. Half-press and recompose using that middle-finger focus/exposure lock button on the front?

  • Also, you deserve a massive dunking for buying a £1k vintage camera before learning to shoot snapshots :)
