Hope Servicing

  • Which is the best shop in London for servicing Hope hubs?

  • Depends where you are but I’d try Cloud9 or Heales

  • Based East, but work in EC1

  • Buy the service kit and DIY. They are really easy to maintain. If I were in London I’d do it for you - takes a few mins per hub. Great videos on their website.

  • Not sure if he's still running but noble wheels did the best hubs service..was based in wandsworth..
    Edit..still appears
    Contactable via instagram

  • check the videos on the hope website and see if you think you can do it yourself
the fronts are a 10 min job if that
rear is a bit more complex

skf or fag bearings if you can

  • Is it just a bearing replacement? I've fixed a couple – including a freehub rebuild – and did it myself. It was an old hub, so I emailed pics to Hope asking WTF it was and they sent me the parts for free.

  • SBC

  • Hub Vélo in Clapton did a good job on my Pro 3's a while back. I also used them when I needed to switch my Pro 4's from QR to thru axle.

They can't order stuff from Hope though so you'd need to supply the bits.

  • It's an old ss hub, free hub body is chewed to hell......

  • Try SW Bicycle Company (formerly known as Ben Thomson’s Cycleworx).

I had destroyed a bearing in my Hope rear hub and only the outer race was left. After trying everywhere in town, he managed to get it out.
