Hammerhead Karoo has the best screen out there and is based on an android system so it's pretty user friendly.
Certainly not as polished as a Garmin system but they are constantly updating so it's getting better and better.
The mapping function is the best feature, literally like having Google Maps up on your bike.
You can load routes on the fly too, just hotspot your phone and connect via WiFi, then add routes using the website.

My decade old Garmin Legend HCx just gave up the ghost (RIP), and I need to replace it. Don't want performance tracking or texting the family my Strava segments - just a clear screen with a big map, with routes I can load from my phone or computer. Ideally something I can load OpenStreetMap on.
The Edge Explore looks pretty decent, and a fair price - anyone tried it? Should I be looking at anything else?
