  • Nobody will be able to tell you based on height. It will probably be aggressive but depends very much on your body dimensions; inseam, reach etc

  • All true - I'm going to get a test ride this weekend - ta

  • Check out the geometry charts as per the above advise (they are on the BMC and Evans website) and compare it to your current bike. I wanted my new bike to be less low and less pointy than my current bike and the 54 teammachine fitted the bill

  • Anyone interested in my Track Machine?

  • Looking at a BMC SL01 Roadracer as a present for a pal of mine, he's about 6'2" and normally would ride a 59cm. Will a 61cm in this suit him ok?

  • really depends on his fit, flexibility, whether he races, but he’d most likely be better with a 58. A 58 is likely to handle better too, as trail figures tend to get quite low in larger frames.

    Im 193, run 180mm cranks, 802mm saddle height and feel most comfy with a stack/reach of around 610/405 with 120mm stem and 9cm bar drop. For most sizes I’m in between 58-61. Rough estimate for that frame stack/reach is 58-590/394, 61-620/400. So depends on how much bar drop he wants?

  • Back in the game after a 5 year BMC sabbatical.

  • Oooof

  • Beaut.
    What're your thoughts? I keep meaning to get a test ride on an SLR and have always heard they are super comfy.

  • Only put it together this afternoon - not ridden it yet! Need some slightly longer bolts for the rear brake Caliper before it’s rideable.

    It’s a nice frame for sure. Not the lightest thing ever. Typical BMC build quality. Had to do a few mods to clean it up for as tidy a Di2 install as possible whilst still using the regular junction box.

    7.6kg as pictured.

  • I like the new one much better to the old one. A lot less shouty. Also disc and di2 is the way forward imo.

  • Here’s my Road Machine in Hertfordshire yesterday.

    ...Yes I need to sort the steerer out - having too much fun riding it to bother right now.

  • This has potential in my eyes, but a bit strongly priced;
