  • Any interest here before I send it over to classifieds?

58cm Supersix frameset inc BB and headset £300, still in good condition - inner chainstay got professionally inspected and resprayed after a couple of wet rides rubbed the paint away.

Crabon wheelset (up for grabs) was also inspected and the rear rim could apparently do with replacing in the next year. No idea if there's interest in them.

    hmm, price?

  • I’m really not sure. Tough one - I’ll pm you.

  • New 9.

  • Nice, I like that paint job. There was a nice one on the bay recently in black with red decals/logos which I was tempted by but a bit expensive.

Have you tested to see what size tyres you can fit in there yet?

  • Awesome! I bought a tiny one of them for my sister a few years and always feel a bit jealous when I see it haha. Even in the small size it looks like it will clear at least 28mm tyres. Show some pics when it's build up

  • My new monster commuter/bridleway eater. Bit more story here.

  • It'll do 28c GK's comfortably, not so sure about GP4000's.

Interestingly it's more roomy on the back than my sold similar vintage 8, i'll do a test later but i'm pretty confident i can get a 30c G-one in there. Annoyingly though the Ultra Slice forks max out at 28c. The Premium Slice forks on the 8 took a 30c G-one which would of been pretty handy on this frame if i wanted to go touring on it. If i get on with it i may upgrade to some SI/Premium forks that have a little more room but for now i'll stick with the Ultra's.

  • The older monostay MTB's and Hybrids have the two rack mount screws, but you could also get an adaptor to mount a rear guard, anyone got one lying about, or know what i'm even talking about?

  • Anyone have a synapse, wondering about switching from my CAAD12 to one, frameset anyway. Was wondering if it could do a sportive/crit duties?

    Also largest tyres with guards

  • I’ll be selling a 2014 hi-mod 56 frame in the coming weeks of your looking at second hand.

It’ll be fine on sportives, not sure about crits though. Something stiff and racey would be better.

I’ve always run 26c on my older frame with no rub at all. I’ve never used mudguards on it though. 26 might be ok with guards, 25s definitely would be. 28s would probably rub the stays. The newer frames easily accommodate 28/30s so 28s with mudguard should be fine.

  • Thanks for the reply, would be looking at a 60cm frame or which ever is closest, also would be a newer version with disc.

  • Trying a different set of hoops

  • I've finally tracked down and purchased a Slate, unfortunately its the base level one with the chainset below on. I've di2/xt 1x11 to install on it with a newish Sram Force chainset with the longer axle to suit BB30a however do I need to change the bottom bracket?

  • It doesn't get much better than this

  • however do I need to change the bottom bracket?

Assuming the force crank has the 30mm axle no, you do not.

  • yes, its a PF30/bb30 one. Thanks

  • New caad spotted in use

  • I hope they get the colour schemes right, Allez Sprint seems to have stormed the crit market.

  • Semi aero supersix?
    Traditionalists will be mad...

  • I’m so mad right now
