Check if it's steel or not. If it's not steel, don't buy it. :)

If the rear wheel is QR then check that the axle has a snug fit in the dropouts.
Cable rub is death to carbon frames, check for signs, see how deep any marks are.
If it's press fit, check the surfaces for signs of ham-fisted installation / removal. If it's thread fit, check that the alu insert isn't wandering about...
