  • Fair enough. Apparently, they're crocheted not knitted but what do I know. You also use your hands / arms as the needles.

This is why i just give up and buy things from amazon.

  • Favourite spot, as it weren't warm enough already.

  • I officially hate my cat. She is an outdoor cat but she refuses to go out because of that stupid black cat upstairs, fine. She has been using the litter tray daily, fine. But today she used the litter tray for a wee, I cleaned it, within 10 mins, she went back to take a poop, I cleaned it, then the whole day has been wee > clean > poop > clean > wee > clean > poop > clean > and the merry go round is still going on. Both her wee and poop look absolutely fine so she is just being a fucking annoying pain in the asshole.

  • So what's with cats going on a victory lap of mad running around after using the litter box? It's so funny, is there a reason? Does it just feel good to have cut a length?!

  • What happens if you take the litter box away? My cats will always use the litter box if it's there over going outside.

  • My guess was that historically, they were vulnerable after leaving a pile of shit that a predator could smell and would run away, so still get that adrenaline rush. Probably nonsense, but I've convinced myself it's true, and that's what matters.

  • I looked it up a while back and if the site I saw was right, you are also correct.

  • I have been tempted to do this, but she’s always had a litter tray just in case and before the black cat arrived a year ago, she’d only ever use it when the weather was really bad etc, now there is a very real practical reason to have a litter tray because the black cat is always hiding just outside the garden door waiting. That fucking little git!

  • :/ I'd personally give it a try and see what happens.

I feel kinda bad, I think my cat Lola is like this black cat. We never see ours neighbours cat anymore, she tells us its because Lola attacked her once and she's too scared to come out now. Ah well, cats are cats

  • Maybe I'll give it a go when I have a full day at home when I could keep an eye on her. I had 1 similar experience with removing the litter tray few months back when I needed to take an urine sample of her so I needed to put down some special litter and she actually held off for a whole 24 hours when she could have gone out, but then it was the winter, so I don't know.

That black cat only really takes after his owners really... I don't want to talk about him other than I really wouldn't mind if he were to move elsewhere.

  • Not a good day for our cat Chicken , she’s been losing weight and been listless and it now seems she has possible cancers on the pancreas and spleen. Awaiting more tests to see if any treatment is possible but at 17 there aren’t masses of options.

  • I want to stroke the tummy

  • I can’t get near her belly but LadyLiz can give her full blown nuzzles on her tummy without being attacked.

  • That's some proper favouritism! 😆

  • Patch's latest shitty thing to do is to take a shit in the little box and then immediately go out to roam her gaff in the gardens... anyone wants a free cat? Free to any home, good or bad, I don't care, but she will shit when you want to eat without fail.

  • Well one of ours has recently decided she likes to wee just next to the TWO litter trays. She never used to do it and it doesn't seem to matter if they're super clean. She just won't pee where she pooped now.

  • That could be a urinary infection...

If they have pain when they pee, they associate it with the litter box and stop using it.

    Might be worth checking out.

  • After being in Valencia for almost two months, our apartment now feels like a home. Can't think why!

The little guy has been on a bloody long road trip through the south of England, France and Spain but seeing how happy he is to see us means it was definitely worth it.
