forgot how much I love these cameras. Feels so good
I shot medium format SLRs for a very long time before somebody gave me their Rolleicord, and I really like it as well.
Especially the fact it's lighter, and quiter. Also people love it ("wow, how old is that?" etc.)
: ]
They are slower though, the matte screen is dim and prone to glare (and upgrading that costs as much as the whole camera basically) so I do need more time to focus, and the handling is a bit fiddly still, maybe it's me though, being used to Mamiya SLR so much..

The original ground glass was dim and difficult to focus on mine, so a decade and a half ago it got a new screen. It was someone on a camera forum who used to cut down (Mamiya?) fresnel focus screens to fit. I did that and it helped, especially having a split in the middle. Much much brighter, though the fresnel increased glare, so I got used to using the magnifier. Not ideal by any means, but serviceable.
Man I forgot how much I love these cameras. Feels so good.
Just remembered I also owned a Rolleiflex (with 3,5 Tessar) and a couple Lubitels too. Looking at the square hood, it’s for Yashica, maybe you can find a Yashi cheaper to try.
