  • Very clean build, love the dynamo hub maybe black brake outer, what's the frame? Ex Keirin NJS of some sort?

  • Thank you.

Orange cable outer because I somehow only had orange cable outer :)

It’s an Interpro. They were built in Korea using Nagasawa castings for keirin there.

  • Not usually a fan of the ‘fun coloured cabling because I’m a fun guy’ thing :-) but I like this - I think it works.

  • Deffo keeping the paint, but thinking about single speed with compact drops and massive slick rubbers. On the other hand I kind of wanna keep some ugly components so it won't be appealing to thieves...

  • Compact drops will require a new stem I imagine. If not for the clamp then to maintain enough reach.

An alternative (and still a comfortable handlebar over distance) would be a swept mtb bar like the On One Fleegle. They’re still decent off road and there’s a 25.4mm version.

  • I got a viable stem for the task already, but I'd still need to buy the handlebars, tape, brake levers and cables, and this month I won't be able to afford those probably.
Although I recently got a call from my insurance lawyer that money should arrive this month (got ran over last April, car jumped the red light with about 50 mph, I was the luckiest fuck in the world that I didn't die or got seriously injured then). If I get paid I'll probably do the conversion.

  • Does anyone happen to have a 1 1/8 headset compression ring to fit a cane creek headset? Can't seem to find one and it's the last bit I need. I know they're only a couple of quid but I thought someone may have one that wouldn't mind sticking it in the post (I'll pay for the stamp and envelope!)

  • It’s still alive! Awesome.

(The frame was previously mine, if I’m not mistaken)

  • 4.99 if you Google it!

  • I know that! Trying to avoid paying 4.99 + postage for a tiny ring. A new headset is only £10...

Edit: went to LBS, rooted through their box of headset bits, problem solved for free!

  • Yes!

It’s been well enjoyed; mostly as road-fixed but also a summer commuter, raced at Newport velodrome, a Deliveroo hack, and now a town bike.

Always really liked it’s fit / geo 👌🏽

  • wondering do I need a front well to be 650c rather than 700c?

  • and I know a bottle cage is ..😀😀

  • If that's 700c on there leave it as is! Looks decent.

  • I'm after a cheap rack for my horrible mtb beater. Needs to be able to carry a 14x8" snare drum in a case, fit 26" and be as cheap as possible. It really doesn't matter if it looks horrible. What should I look at?

  • Most basic alu racks would fit the bill, as wide a platform as possible would be good.

  • Yes 700 c now , but catching a front wheel when turning. Im guessing is small for me.

  • Is it suspension front fork?

  • A lot of track bikes will do that. You don’t need to steer much on a velodrome

  • Ahh, didn't think about it, I've planned for street ride.

  • What crank length? I had pretty bad toe overlap on my Donohue, went from 170 to 165 cranks and was surprised at the difference it made.

  • was surprised at the difference it made.

    It wasn’t 5mm? 🤭

  • Smart arse :-)

Well no it’s not, is it? Your moving the crank, which isn’t in line with the wheel, away from it in a direction at a tangent to the wheels arc. Or something. I don’t know, IANAM
