Thanks, hippy. I'm surprised the Mormon route is only 760m less climbing (much though the main difficulty cut out is that last pass before getting into the plains), but I suppose as Kansas is so very flat the old route scores mainly there. I suspect that if I were to ride it (which isn't going to happen), I'd prefer an extra 100k to all that climbing. I imagine Abdullah is probably going to take the Kansas route, then.

Which doesn't really tally with trackleaders values, Mormon being ~118k longer with 760m less climbing. So OG route should be faster.
