Ur right, that would look good! I like the aesthetic and concept of running the xtr rear mech, but so flimsy compared to srams nice loud clicks.
Theres a lot of play in the xtr, so i need to see if i can fix that to get shifting better.
Anyone heard of a way to increase tension in the spring pulling on the cage around the pulleys, to decrease chain slap?

I used parktool's maintenance tutorial for shimano derailleurs to increase spring tension on my ultegra mech.

Nice, this is what i need, thanks. Let the dissection begin..
@spotter yea that does in theory add tension, but its main function is to set the correct distance between the top pulley wheel and cogs for optimal shifting depending on cassette range. #notamechanicjustanerd

Litespeed got a new fork from China ebay (445mm a-c) which look to fit the bill. The frame has clearance for 27.5x2.25, and looks better proportioned than with 26.
This is gonna be a super light gravel thing, 1x10, sweepy adventure bar of some sort, and the wheels (in the photo) from my Ti adventure/touring bike, which i'll then build a new set for.
- White Ind M16 polished silver hubs on Dartmoor cruiser (40mm outer width) rims. A bit undecided on the rims, but they seemed cheap and wide and not super heavy.

Obvious choice for the Litespeed is Ritchey Carbon Bullmoose, for that full on weightweenie build.

Was lucky to get one of the Omnium Ti Minimax frames with sliding drops. Clears a 27.5 x 2.1 easy!

They look small - 24"?
will be excellent.
Also, im not saying you should, but if you do go 10 speed ever, the SRAM X0 would suit this very well
