Nah, undercarriage clearance would be a problem, and IIRC the 747 is already stressed to carry a pylon on the wing there - it's usually used to carry a spare engine between maintenance sites.

Assuming you mean the thing on the side of a building on Tooley Street, that's not a V2.

It was installed on the building when it contained a "space launch experience simulator" in the late 80s and early 90s. It was supposed to look a bit like a Saturn V.

Eventually, the company went under and was bought out (simulator and all) by the London Dungeon owners and converted to a "blitz experience". They just overpainted the NASA livery on the model on the building and changed the video inside the simulator.

^ I only know this because I grew up near there and remember feeling utterly cheated when they turned the NASA rocket into a V2.

Given that it looks like neither a V2 nor a Saturn 5, I think it's safe to say that the text has been very effective over the years!

Looking at Streetview, it doesn't look like the building it's attached to is there any longer.
Can't believe I never clocked this in all the times I've been down Tooley Street.

Given that NASA's rockets were developed from V2s by largely the same team of scientists, it can be considered a vaguely reasonable representation IMO.

A reasonable representation if you told a 5 year old who had seen a picture of a V2 and only heard about the Saturn V to make a model of the latter.

I was about 5 when I went to the space experience simulator with the V2/Saturn 5 so sounds about right.
