London to Ghent

Friend of mine has invited me over during his racing season just outside Ghent. Haven't planned anything yet but looking to head out on a Thursday, come back Monday. Anyone got any tips?

Your key decision is where to end up in France. Personally I prefer Dunkirk when riding into Belgium. You’re not long in France and I find Belgian drivers more tolerant. I like to use Strava for routing and combine with google street view to check out availability of segregated cycle routes. Strava’s algorithm that the most popular roads used on uploaded rides are the best roads to ride on works pretty well.
