I just went into Sports Direct as I was passing and got some Karrimor trail running shoes. Pretty cheap so nothing to lose and will try them out.
A lot of people used trail running shoes, esp Salomon, on the SRMR last year.Need something else as discovered on Saturday that the lightweight 5-10s I was wearing are a bit too small, had to ride the last 160km with no socks to keep hot foot at bay

Yeah but discontinued. If you see a 11.5 or 12 not in the white let me know!
They're a little bit warm, but hard wearing and very grippy. My go to shoes now.
My other Salomans are 7 years old, well worn but never broke. Really rate their shoes.
