    It conjures up a scenario in which there is a pressing need to turn the music up ("Mucke" is German slang for 'music') and then uses a pun in German to express this. 'Mach mal lauter' ('make louder') in certain dialects/slang could become 'Mama lauda', which is then cleverly related to Niki Lauda's mother.

    It's a great explanation but I wondered what the pun has to do with pro cycling and / or Giro?

  • You shouldn't be too greedy for explanation where none is needed. As fussballclub clearly (yes) posted, this was apparently what Pascal Ackermann said after his win.
