I just wonder if Lotto-Visma planned the Giro racing for the podium then the way things fell they found themselves in the wrong place. If Dumoulin and Yates had been dicing for the lead as expected, Roglic finishing 3rd would have been a solid finish on top of his earlier wins. With them not competing (for one reason or another), I think they might have been caught on the hop
