  • Thanks. Shame for Yates.

Rogilic just not got the legs?

  • His form peaked too soon. I don’t think you can race, and win Romandie, and still be in top form 3.5 weeks later. Plus his team was very inexperienced in GTs.

  • Shame really.
    Wonder if he will move

  • Loosing De Plus in the race and Gesink just before was a massive blow.

If I was Addy Engels I would be worried about my job.

  • He's got another year on his contract.

He's shown he can do well in a three week Tour, Jumbo-Visma need to show that they can out together a team to support him. With Gesink and Kruisjwijk they've two very experienced riders, they probably just need someone of a similar level to give them a bit more depth.

  • Yeah, he's a contendor for sure. And only going to get better.

  • Does Lopez need a new nickname?

  • Not saying he won’t improve, but remember he’s 29. I was shocked when I saw his age.

  • He's only six years into his pro cycling career though, he started late remember.

But that does mean the next couple of years will be crucial.

  • Nice touch, the Ecuadorian government paying for today's stage to be on terrestrial TV

  • Tom Pidcock smashing Roubaix espoirs by the looks of the official twitter feed

  • 40 second gap with 10k to go

  • Ah good point. still 5 years left for sure though.

  • ...and Pidcock takes the win. Chapeau

  • VICTOIRE DE THOMAS PIDCOCK 💥 By 35 second

  • Sean Kelly calling Chad Haga ‘Chaga’ on Eurosport is top lols

  • Better sweet win for Sunweb today.

  • Chads tweet should be entertaining . Top men on the day beaten by erh !

  • I just wonder if Lotto-Visma planned the Giro racing for the podium then the way things fell they found themselves in the wrong place. If Dumoulin and Yates had been dicing for the lead as expected, Roglic finishing 3rd would have been a solid finish on top of his earlier wins. With them not competing (for one reason or another), I think they might have been caught on the hop

  • Strange race. Rubbish first week, great second week. And then the third week went a bit flat again because neither Roglic or Nibali could summon much and Lopez got unlucky.

I think I’ll mostly remember it for the shit weather. It looked like the race was back in Northern Ireland.

  • Yeah I'm not sad it's over. Ended up with little emotional investment in the race, despite it being objectively exciting. Frustrating seemingly always being one day behind on catch-up too.

Some charming wins by underdogs and never-winners though, which was lovely.

  • they should bring back sky!

  • totally missed the best stages because life. Resent watching most of the ones I did.

luls at Yates chatting shit and getting banged tho. Suppose it's been a good edition because it wasn't a once horse show and the main contenders didn't get it all their own way. The bookies must have made a fucking killing ...

  • Good Giro.

  • Best moment was Chaves winning, I nearly welled up
