He's got another year on his contract.
He's shown he can do well in a three week Tour, Jumbo-Visma need to show that they can out together a team to support him. With Gesink and Kruisjwijk they've two very experienced riders, they probably just need someone of a similar level to give them a bit more depth.

His form peaked too soon. I don’t think you can race, and win Romandie, and still be in top form 3.5 weeks later. Plus his team was very inexperienced in GTs.
