To me this looks like a cheap frame with a Spirit sticker on, can anyone tell me I'm wrong? It's the touring eyelets which are bugging me - do you make touring frames from spirit?

Yeah, that's what was throwing me off. He said he got it at a jumble so no idea about provenance. I always imagine spirit to be used on racier frames, but maybe I'm way off with that assumption.

Those look like quite modern fancy lugs?

Interesting that this picture (which shows a crimp in the rear triangle) has now been removed from the ad.

I was given a DIY tandem once. It was much worse than that. Flexed like crazy. Only ever rode it solo and even that was scary.

I’m selling a bike on eBay and received what felt like a scam email and it turned out to be so. The same setup as detailed here: https://community.ebay.co.uk/t5/Seller-Central/Hi-received-quot-a-request-to-buy-quot-instead-of-an-offer-on-a/td-p/6261361

I hadn’t come across it before, something to be aware of for anyone selling high value bikes on there.

I’m not 100% what the goal is; do they send you a fake payment notification in the hope that you post them the item (but thereby giving their address away? Surely not)? Or are they phishing for PayPal details?
