I’d like Liverpool go 2-0 up at halftime and 3-2 in extra time. Son to score the equaliser with the last kick in ET. 12 penalties each and Kane or Henderson to miss the decisive one.
Both sets of fans will be insufferable for some time to come. Spurs likely more so.

All that plus a 17 minute VAR interruption

We're in the "no-win zone"...
There are no fucking winners, most boring final ever...
-
• #150281
I've been in that zone for the playoff final, europa league and now this shower of shit.
Roll on next season.

• #150282
I've said it before, but a natural disaster causing the game to be cancelled is the preferable option. Or a last minute discovery of both clubs having flaunted regulations (entirely possible), resulting in a hastily rearranged final featuring the losers of both semi finals, which Ajax win - the result that all right-minded fans wanted anyway.
In the likely event that neither of the above happen in the next 24 hours, I'm going Liverpool - obviously. Spurs fucking up would be much funnier.

It has to be Libpool... The Spuds are fucking useless, plus everything else...

Totally this. And Charlton-Sunderland was hardly a choice to relish.

Plus Corny...

• #150286
Is Corny on holidays? Or has his Guardian subscription expired?
-
• #150287
Surely top at Christmas, winning the passing, etc, fucking that up, then being in a final with perennial bottlers; spursy, and fucking that up too would be the better thing.
I just want to see Klopp's mental maths in the post-match interview.

Or has his Guardian subscription expired?
Actual lol.

I don't mind who wins as long as they win it. no bullshit deflected goal. no penalty shootout (yeah I know). no dodgy VAR. no cry babies.
I have slight preference for Liverpool as it will make my ageing plastic fan mum happy. and they have been a joy to watch at times this season.
looking forward to the game.

no penalty shootout
What have you done with the real jonny?
We always deserve penalties.
-
• #150291
It's tough isn't it?
You know where you stand with koppites, Spurs would be a whole other level. On the basis that Liverpool have already won it and so there's a touch of "so what, what's new?" about it. The Spurs' "project" going empty-handed again, Pochettino giving up and leaving for a bigger club, and them sliding down the table would be fucking hilarious.
-
• #150292
I hadn't considered the 'long game'.
A £1bn stadium and a 7th place finish next season would be amazing.
This is why this whole thing is 'no-win' - there are so many great reasons for them both to lose.
-
• #150293
Careful. Don't pick at that trope.
-
• #150295
Can't tell if intentionally ironic or completely lacking self-awareness...

Pfff... I've had that trope thrown at me by that crybaby 'nuff times... Life's a beach...

All in all I’m pretty pleased with the way we finished the season. If you can’t be happy winning the Europa League than it’s gettinng close to being a lost cause.
Ambiguous about Sarri staying. Square pegs round holes and all that.
Last thing we need right now is Lampard as a manager. Give it two years and we’ll see.
-
• #150299
I'm not really sure who I'd like to see win tomorrow. I'll probably decide when I start watching, but I think Liverpool might edge it just because I like Van Dijk, Robertson and Alexander-Arnold and their forward line.

Have to respect Rob Green never playing a single minute for Chelsea ever but getting that trophy in the air
Um, have you met any Liverpool fans before?
