I've never had Di2 before. I've got 6870 levers and rear mech and the internal battery. Do I just need the bar end junction and some wires and I'm done?

the bar end junction does this : connects the 2 shifters and allows charging. the exiting wire goes to the other junction box you will need (presumably hidden inside downtube next to bb) to which you attach the battery (in seatpost presumably ), and the 2 outgoing wires to the 2 derailleurs.
