Pretty sure the Tern is/was developed with XC or something? They collab’d at some point anyway, I remember reading an article when I was researching.
My XC Edgerunner does feel like a long boi when compared to a regular bike, but rides pretty close to a MTB. Probably say that Tern is your best bet.
Recently I’ve wondered how the longboi with a Clydesdale/cargo truck fork up front would look and feel.

Do it. Do it quick.
I tried a Tern at the local e-bike shop. I didn’t like the cockpit, but the actual riding was exceptional. Cockpit issue was mostly as I didn’t dare adjust anything but the seatpost. I’m 6ft and it fit me.
The assist felt seamless and I only used it on the lowest eco setting, including a small local hill, and traffic/junctions. It was the trial that made me feel like the non-electric bike was shite, because I had to ride home on the XC in the rain and immediately missed the wooshy electricky witchery.
Oh talking of the XC, don’t discount it. On the XtraCycle without electric motor I comfortably carried a “50kg” better half, and her bag for around 10 miles or so without major issue. Little people would be super easy.
I think they have developed some kind of model that has a back end you can adjust now too.
