Well done Chelsea.
We will all miss Hazard in the Premiership

Down to CHO and Pulisic to step up next season, let's see how we go... I also think Sarri needs another year at the helm, his hands are tied in terms of new players so he's still at a disadvantage but we need to see what he can deliver with more time... Very frustrating season but, ultimately, a successful one...

Spurs fan but I think Chelsea's ability to salvage such success this season from such modest performances (and I genuinely mean that as a compliment) is quite an achievement. If Sarri-ball is 'a thing' then surely the team will be much better again next year (even without Hazard)

You could argue that having Hazard in the team is a bad thing, everything has been going through him... This could be great for us, let's see... And I agree, we've been fucking hopeless for most of the season, bright start but no plan B when teams started to shut Jorginho down...

Sarri's stock will have risen a lot after this and Juve are still managerless. He won't be sacked, but I can see him leaving, speshly with the transfer ban.
Save Roman having to make a massive payout for once -

thanks very much Jonny. 👍
sorry you didn't get the pens you always deserve. but glad it was wrapped up.
Hazard is a massive loss for Chelsea when he goes.Up there with the best to ever be a chelsea. -

Giroud my favorite goal of the game great movement and who doesn't love a diving header.
Giroud has been v good for Chelsea this season in that he has never had a run of games but when he played mostly he changed things. -

Hopefully Sarri will today become the first Chelsea manager since Hoddle to leave voluntarily
-
• #150236
I think you should keep him for at least another season, proven trophy winner etc...

Like Benitez?

From the guardian (naturally)
It is not a coincidence that the Champions League final will be contested by clubs whose managers have been in place since 2014 and 2015 respectively; as of Wednesday night (or Thursday morning, Baku time), neither has won as much in English football as Sarri.
What is this supposed to mean?

I don't really follow Chelsea, but I'm guessing Benitez is a club legend they are hugely grateful to for steering them to a Europa League win in difficult circumstances?

As of today,
Sarri = one trophy with an English club
Klopp + The Sheriff = 0 trophies with English clubs.
Please note that I am not counting important trophies such as the second place trophy or the two seasons trophy or third place in a two horse race trophy.

You forgot the calendar year and points after Christmas trophies...

No. Chelsea supporters were happy to see the back of him and he the back of us. He positively disliked Chelsea supporters and made his feelings very clear. They were reciprocated.
Sarri on the other hand has shown indifference to Chelsea supporters. Chelsea supporters fall into two camps. Those who attend matches dislike him and want him gone. Those who follow from overseas on television and social media seem to like him.

Fuck off, Clive... 😂😘

But if he went, you could off-load your manager who has won you precisely nothing. Sixth place and a reasonable run in two ups is not really the stuff of successful managers.

I have to confess that you weren't in my thoughts as I typed that but, as they say, if the cap fits..
😘😘

I agree that he has been fucking hopeless at times but I'm up for giving him another twelve months, no one else is gonna come in with a transfer ban in place... Apart from those two blokes over at Derby County...

Oh, Clive... 🥰

While I would usually say give a manager time, in his case he has shown such disdain for the club and supporters, that he should go. It looks as though it is not the club's choice and he could well be the first manager since Hoddle to leave under his own steam. Juve are determined to get him and good luck to them.
The ManU cup game did it for me. Who, at 2-0 down at home in a cup match with 10 minutes to play, replaces a right back with a right back as your final substitution?
I am amused that the press, who wanted him sacked before Christmas, are now extolling his virtues.

I think it's missing a 'however' after the semi-colon.
