How hard to find wheels for? Should I get this for the F1000?
The hubs are easy to find because they used them on the Lefty Oliver - it's the modern, pre-built stuff that's not possible.
Should you get this for the F1000? Yes but I'd budget another £80 to get it serviced and for the steerer you'd need.
Personally I wouldn't expect too much because the market for the 26" version is fairly limited now and few of the modern MTB wheelsets fit (the hub was changed back in 2014 or something).
So you are looking at the dwindling market of folks holding on to now very old frame sets.
This could be converted to 27.5 or 29" reasonably easily but the travel would be reduced to as little as 70mm in 29'er mode. Even more limited market for that.
