Only if somebody complains, and a prosecution is sustained. There are only 2 pix of P., so he might claim it was a temporary move. The longer sequence of T. seems less easy to defend, but I'm not aware of any successful prosecution based on photographs. Since they both finished, and have both ridden a lot in presumably the same way, it's hard to say that they're an obvious danger to themselves.

The kid could make a case he’s looking at a computer but the other one is just taking the piss. Pretty silly.

No helmet either!!!!!!!1!!one

Helmet not going to protect him from slamming into back of a parked car at 28mph.
More aero without tail of helmet sticking in the air

How safe is it putting a Oval Concepts/Tektro R725R reverse u-brake on to a carbon fork?
Starting a new build and am most concerned with not damaging an expensive fork...

Get a Tri Rig Omega (not X) they were designed around the P2/p3 iirc

I'll check my spares box for one...! :)

How safe
Looks like you're in want of some kind of bushing to get around the fact that the Cervelo fork doesn't have a planar surface orthogonal to the brake centre bolt axis on the rear of the crown. One you have that sorted, the load path and magnitude isn't different enough from a front mounted brake to make a material difference. On the other hand, @danb is right.

Thought as much, thanks @mdcc_tester.
Had this brake going spare so was worth checking - upgrading the wheels should probably come as a higher priority! -

Changing the tyre to the correct direction should have some aero benefits too.

"The riding position shall be set so that the competitor has good forward vision when in a competitive position."
and
"(d) Machines fitted with triathlon handlebars and derivations thereof which have forearm supports, or Spinacci type handlebars without forearm supports, may be used provided that when the rider adopts a competitive position on these bars:
(i) The wrists are no lower than the elbows.
(ii) The height from the ground to the forearm resting position is no less than 80% of the height of the saddle from the ground." -

You and Pifko also implied that 3 days ago. I just wanted to confirm the wrist rule to myself. Couldn't remember if it was CTT or only UCI.

Life ban! Take his yellow jerseys!
Possibly, but not for the head down riding as much as for continuing to race after a mechanical which rendered the machine unsafe to ride. If the bars drop 10° because they are not properly fixed, they can drop another 80° without warning. The safest handhold once you have lost confidence in the bar clamp is the one which is coaxial with the clamp.

Let's have a more cheerful photo.
This is from the Hounslow 100, Tim Bayley and Adam Broyad. They did 3.38.40.
This was exactly one minute short of the existing Vets Tandem 100 record which is held by G.E. Hodgson and Roy Manser and has stood since 1986. I think it's interesting that their machine was built by the very same Roy Manser.
This Arctic Tacx RT pairing is a new venture in tandem riding, and the Hounslow event was really just a try out. Once they get going I think we're going to see some RRA activity.

As for Pete Tadros, he's done a great job keeping the fixed TT concept going, since he must have had more wins on fixed than anyone else in recent years (or possibly decades).
I note that he has managed to get round all his many events without crashing into the back of anything.

Personally, I would blame Tadders Sr. for the bar malfunction, he is the worst mechanic in the history of the universe.

• #18771
There's an awful lot of competition for that title!

Great photo, Chris. Bit harsh of you to take it on that nasty little kick before the run past Bentley though! I hate that hill.

No, Thark the No-Thumbed Hammer Wielder of Qlaath ceded the title to Pete in the inter-Galactics last year...

I've just had a massive revelation: training makes you ride a bike faster.
Been doing 2x20s (hilly, because that's all I have) for about three weeks and already beaten my (geared) SB from last year on a fixed bike. Also really helped having a Garmin for the first time ever to pace/kick me up the arse.
Now where the hell am I supposed to mount the Garmin so it doesn't get in the way?

K-Edge Gravity Cap would probably work on your build. The TT mount would work too, but it's spendy if you don't need the display that far forwards.
I’m assuming dqs all round?
