Are those Instagram shots satire? Or does everything on Instagram look like that?
-
• #3103
Nah, pretty much everything on Instagram looks like skinny with a poo in his mouth.
-
• #3104
Just taken a look at the raceflow and reckon that with a push or two in the right places, Skinny has an outside chance of a win. A lot will depend on Fisherfield which could go either way for him.

It looks like Liam is scratching and heading back to Ullapool - https://twitter.com/DrElJaskowska/status/1133070308322234369. I'm guessing it would be breaking the rules (unwritten or not) for Liam to give skinny his pump?

Broke my pump being an idiot.
I've also no brake pads left, well a tiny bit of meat on 1 side of the front.
Will go buy new pump a d pads when shop is open tomorrow.Last night had to cross a waist deep fast flowing river, pretty mad.

Best memories through hardship hey ? Hope it goes well tomorrow.

Seems to be a proper adventure indeed.

basically, the wetter it is, the worse it gets once the rain eases off. Heavy rain keeps them away (sort of) but then its doubly worse when it gets lighter or stops.

Thats it. Dusty Eroh takes the win. Skinny should be getting in this evening.
-
• #3115
Really? He had more than 100 miles to go when I looked just now.
Did he get the supplies he needed?
How did Eroh put so much distance between himself and his four closest rivals? Did they wait out bad weather for a long time while he went ahead?

Shame Liam of the Glen had to abandon. He should try again and give his name the win it rightfully deserves.

Evening might be a stretch but the section from Bridge of Oich to Fort William is pretty fast and the WHW from Glencoe ski station is too.
-
• #3118
Ah, OK. Let's hope for a speedy resolution!
-
• #3119
Clearly I underestimated Skinny's intention to park his arse in Fort Augustus for bloody ages.

Someone needs to resurrect Le Tour Ultime, for no other reason than "It's there."

More puncture issues. Looks like running an Ikon rear, Ardent race front. Hope not in 2.2 flavour.

Is that where you ride the TdF route as one stage?

Strangely reassuring to see that TCR lanterne rouge Neil Matthews is still yet to finish
-
• #3124
Yep. ~4000km or so.
"Considered too tough", etc but died because it dwindled to just a handful of participants.
But then along came ultracycling with heavy emphasis on self sufficiency and, sometimes, mandatory routes and suddenly there are 200+ people who want to do this crazy shit.

I'd find it disappointing if Neil was even considering finishing.
