I'm using 8070 shifters with 6870 front and rear mechs if that helps.
Everything was updated to the latest firmware so I'm sure if there's any historical compatibility issues with previous firmware versions.

I'd assume so... I've got both those groupsets on my two bikes, let me plug the 6870 FD into the 8050 equipped bike and I'll let you know. Give me an hour and I'll get you an answer.

Just got a new sm02 interface and e tube project for laptop, so much more you can do than with Bluetooth version.
Anyone in Glasgow needing di2 or steps fettling just hit me up

For example?

I’m pretty sure there are more options just using a laptop and the charger than on the E-TUBE app. Maybe they are just easier to find.

Just trying to work out if it's worth messing around with a windows VM on my Mac to give it a try

Best way to fill or cover cables holes once using Etap?

Etap question - I’ve had a couple of the tabs break when being clumsy putting in/removing the battery but last weekend the rear battery tab actually failed whilst riding. Luckily it did not fall out and I was able to move it to the front and fix in place with electrical tape. Is this type of fail common and I’ve just been lucky?
What a shocking weak point (literally) in the design. -

You are the first person I've ever seen report this issue. A quick google suggests some people have had the same issue, but it's not endemic.
I've been using etap for 3 years now, and have had zero issues with it.

Does anyone have Etap Clics or Blips in 650 they want to move on?

You can get rubber plugs from a decent LBS.

Both seem like good options. Issue would be joke is elliptical as internally routed.
Does sugru come off ok? -

Not used Sugru myself, but have seen it discussed positively as a solution, so I assume so

If I already have the shifter(s) and want to run my TT bike with a 1x11 Di2 setup am I correct in thinking I only need the following:
Rear Mech
Junction Box
Battery
WiresIs there any downside to buying older 11s stuff rather than the newest generation?
-
• #3597
Yes, plus a charger.
-
• #3598
What does the charger do exactly? Why could they not have just put a USB-C port on the handlebar end junction or something?
-

That's reminded me I have Di2 TT cockpit stuff to sell..

Yeah, I have a charger from my other bike with Di2. That's where I will steal the TT shifter from as well. And is there anything the new stuff will do that the older stuff won't?
As far as I can see it's just Bluetooth and sequential shifting, but if it's 1x I wouldn't need that anyway.
Can I use a 6870 front mech in conjunction with r8050 rear mech and shifters?
I assume so but just wanted to check before purchase...
