Why are there cable ties for the rear brake cable?
Alternatively I could be like I love this frame and I think it's rare and I believe that my time and rarity of the build is worth an extra 500 on top of the parts cost.
Yeah no you can't add on cost for your time.
It will definitely be worth less than the cost of the parts.@Dammit likes these frames but maybe only the raw one

Yeah. No fishing expeditions
Just stick it on eBay for the total maximum you want for it and see if you get any nibbles. Might get lucky.

Looks like it’s the hydraulic rim brake group so the existing stops ain’t gonna work
-
• #8
Wanting 500 squids for the work OP put in and the group isn't suitable for the frame. Smh

Yep I had overlooked the hydro brakes

What size is the frame cod

Also
Everything is brand new.
It's not now, it's fitted so you'd need to add up second hand prices for parts to get your total value but it is highly likely that nobody else will want your exact build and therefore won't pay for it.

I mean, s/he can, but we can also point, laugh and generally mock in response.
£500.
For time and rarity

In all srsness, tho, OP - It's unlikely that anyone on this forum will pay any premium for sourcing parts and assembling a bike, let alone paying a monkey for it.
-
• #14
Bike is free. I would pay £500 for the rarity alone
-
• #15
Was the frame NOS when you bought it? As in never built?
-
• #16
The seatpost is backwards so that takes about 10% of the price.
-
• #17
But.. that’s part of what makes it unique
-
• #18
What are those cable ties all about?

This also adds to the uniqueness

I must admit this saddle and hoods/lever choice makes this bike worth a lot more.

Badass build! Silver wheels need to make a comeback on newer bikes for sure. Also never knew sram red hydro rim brake callipers were a thing
-
• #23
Thanks for the feedback. I was thinking 1500 would be a fair price, think a used one went on here before with generic wheels and sram force and standard saddle. Does that sound about right?
-
• #24
I know right, thank you for the compliment, at least your not focused that I could make 500 quid on the project....lol

It's like saying I bought a new TV, never turned it on, mounted the TV stand and now its second hand.... you think these parts and frame should be valued at second hand prices? 😂 I understand your a veteran of the forum mate, thought it might give you a little foresight into the situation. If I have all the receipts and original boxes do I still have to sell at second hand prices?
