Any Tory not rabbitting the brexiteur drivel of 'they need us more than we need them' or 'managed No Deal', sounds more sensible in comparison,
but,
I'm guessing he has voted straight down the line on every Austerity vote?
'All the contenders': are there enough (closet) Tory Remainers to get him through the first couple of rounds of voting? -
He’s half Scottish so he won’t get the members votes- wasting his time to run now, in our most xenophobic period of recent memory.
We need Boris- as has been said, his brand of moral and ideaology free ambition makes him the only PM contender who will revoke in the belief that he can (essentially) just style it out afterwards. No referendum required.

With a field of competitors so desperately poor, it's not difficult to stand out. But, that said, he does seem to be on an entirely different level, and comes across as relatively thoughtful, intelligent, measured, honest, etc. And it's refreshing to see someone engage in a converation when interviewed (rather than rely on vacuous soundbites). I don't know much about his political views, other than the fact he's committed to Brexit. However, none of that really matters, as I can't see the members voting for him given how much they all love Johnson.
Whichever Tory is elected, within Parliament they will be 'weak' even of they can keep the DUP onside. It seems likely to be a deluded brexiteur, who believes either another Withdrawal Agreement without the backstop can be negotiated in a matter of weeks, or 'managed No Deal' is a viable option. Stupid? All the contenders have shown a willingness to subscribe to 'stupid policies' to further their political careers.
