It really isn't the kind of comment which is going to win you many friends either, arrogance isn't a great look.

Zakarin's first GT stage win for three years, since I watched him push up a mountain in the TdF with the same feeling that convicted dopers should be banned for life. It's hard to be that happy for him really. Would he have had that final push and 34 seconds over Nieve if it weren't for his history of steroids?

Speaking of arrogance:

Rumours of a sticky bottle complaint for roglic which is a bit rich considering the nibali one.

I saw it on Eurosport, it was fine. Blatant, but short pretty short and he at least kept the bottle in the end.

They accelerated a lot quickly. It looked a bit panicky

Not sure Roglic's passivity has all been tactics, starting to look like he's a bit knackered.

He was riding a teammates bike for the last 50(?)km.

Supposedly, his DS stopped for a piss at just the wrong time so the car was nowhere near him when he needed a new bike.

Still a long way to go but how much time can Roglic expect to put into Carapaz in a 17km rolling TT? 90 seconds seems a reasonable bet.

Look forward to seeing how Movistar turn the screw this week to grow that gap.
