  • What're you planning in regards to riding it? Is it going to used on the roads or just track, I hope it's the roads.

Oops just reread and saw the brake.

  • Samson for roads, Nagasawa for track.

  • These pantograph Samson Nitto's look great, but was going to cost a ridiculous : £373 + customs charges.
If im ever in Japan i might think about it.

  • Clamp on brake now with matching pearl white parts. Looks a little more in keeping with the build.

  • Looks very nice. Sceptical about all white, but it's turning out to look great. Never seen a bike to highly polished either.

  • Be careful with those screws. I noticed slight scratches in the paint on my Nagasawa when I took the brake off again. I'd put a little square of electrical tape or similar underneath the clamp if I were you.

  • Thanks for the advice, im surprised the screws would go that far through.
I actually do have white electrical tape wrapped around the fork a few times, then trimmed back. That should hopefully stop any scratches happening.

Also i read that the small screw with the spring is meant to be tightened so it presses against the fork crown.

When you brake the bracket will flex forwards because that's the way the top of the wheel is moving. But tighten the little bolt so it pushes the bracket forwards, and now when you brake the new forces unload the little bolt but don't create additional flex in the bracket. This should reduce brake judder, possibly at the cost of damaging the paint on the crown.

  • Very nice and tidy.

  • You gonna hate me for this but it needs black saddle and black tape, without leaving space. Plus, a longer stem.

  • So tidy! Very nice job!
