  • Absolute bullshit from start to finish, I couldn't make it to the end of that statement. So deluded it's embarrassing.

So now which fucker do we get as replacement? Is no deal now nailed on? Fucking bleak times

  • Donald Tusk 'Here's a 6-month extension. Don't waste it!'
Tory Party ' Let's waste 3 months defenestrating May and a leadership election'.

  • David Cameron,
    sort this shitfest out..
    yes the shitfest you created..

  • Has any other poltical party, worldwide, forced a leader to resign,
while the results of a national election are still pending?
Another first for the 'natural party of Government'?

  • So now which fucker do we get as replacement? Is no deal now nailed
    on? Fucking bleak times

There was an interesting bit on BBC news last night where they said there was no majority for no deal in parliament, and a new no deal PM would end up causing a vote of no confidence passing in parliament, so then either a GE or labour/SNP/etc form another government.
No timescale for this though, could be fucking ages. so much can change too.

  • Thatcher brought down by Michael 'Tarzan' Heseltine over Westland, (industrial strategy and defence considerations).

May brought down by Andrea 'As a mother' Leadsom over an anti-democratic refusal to support a confirmatory referendum.

  • It's terrifying that it's been less than three years. What a total fucking shitfest.

  • Some solid live tweeting of the speech from Ian Dunt...

  • If Boris gets in he’s so unpredictable, he’ll do anything to be popular. I reckon it’ll be 50/50 if he goes for hard brexit or revoke

  • Yep,
these three years seem to have dragged by more slowly than the 5 years of drift under John Major.

  • She's not dancing now!
I hope after the contortions of the Tory leadership election,
    she resigns as an MP,
and, goes back to arranging the flowers at her church.
It is about her level of competence.

  • goes back to arranging the flowers at her church

"Theresa, all the arrangements don't always have to be Red, White and Blue"

"I've been very clear as to the arrangements we want to present, what Mr Corbyn wants is.."

  • Boris gets in he’s so unpredictable, he’ll do anything to be popular. I reckon it’ll be 50/50 if he goes for hard brexit or revoke

I've been wondering about this too.

    Evidence points:

    1) he wrote those two speeches about brexit, one in favour one against. He is obviously not idealistically pro Brexit.

    2) he is lazy and self serving. Doing a "no deal" leads to a fucktonne shit load of work, which he would either have to be in charge of or not be in charge of. Either outcome would be crap for him. If he revokes, and survives the fallout, he has an easier life. Arguably, surviving revocation as PM is easier than surviving no deal as PM.

    3) he likes grand, surprising gestures, being unconventional. A volte-face to revoke seems to fit the bill.

  • I've been very clear as to the arrangements we want to present, what Mr Corbyn wants is.."

"But why is the vase cracked and balanced on a wobbly pedestal?"

"I've been very clear that the vase is both strong and stable."

  • So now which fucker do we get as replacement? Is no deal now nailed on? Fucking bleak times

Who knows. The MPs as a whole don't seem keen on no deal and took over the house to rule it out last time. I think whoever the PM is they'll have a hard time pushing no deal through.

  • looks so much more natural in reverse?!

  • has she been living in backwards world this whole time?

  • In a rational world, the first thing that any new PM should do is ask the EU to allow us to revoke "for now" with a view to reinvoke at a later date once we decide what we want.

  • hmm I think if there was anything LIKE that amount of room for manoeuvre (or... fuckit I dunno, sanity) in the Tory party, it would probably have happened already.
We’re just moving to a different phase of the Conservative implosion, I think? It’s going to get a lot more swivel-eyed from here.

  • So was May the nadir, or are we only just heading for the nadir? Only time will tell ...

  • Cameron was the nadir, then May, Johnson will be even worse. It's a complete Asil of nadirs.

  • This is doing my head in.

  • May was only a spit of grease on the arse-polished steel surface of the Tory helter-skelter
that plummets Mariana Trench-like to their political nadir.
