hmm I think if there was anything LIKE that amount of room for manoeuvre (or... fuckit I dunno, sanity) in the Tory party, it would probably have happened already.

Why would the EU go for that? It's just drawing out the uncertainty for months or even years.

In a rational world, the first thing that any new PM should do is ask the EU to allow us to revoke "for now" with a view to reinvoke at a later date once we decide what we want.
